Curse Technology, I'm Going Viking Instead.

Ok I promised to show you pictures, so what happens, the camera batteries die.  How bloody ironic, it heard me didn't it, lol.

So I will save my pictures of all my UFO's for tomorrow when I have purchased some batteries and instead show you something I came across thanks to the lovely, wonderful and very talented Mrs Flibble over on the Selfsufficientish Forum that I love. I want to marry this woman, her talent, perseverance, and dogged determination to be eco conscious and frugal inspires me at every turn!

She has made herself some wickedly fantastic Viking shoes using The Tutorial Here and they look like just the sort of thing that I have been looking for.

This is the pair made by the author of the tutorial, what a talented lady.

My poor feet suffer silently every day, having to hulk me around hither and thither, I should love them more than I do, especially as they do a fantastic job.  Hell, I wouldn't want to be my feet, but having just purchased some leather offcuts and some leather thonging from Fleabay I shall wait excitedly for my packages to arrive so I can make myself a couple of pairs of shoes.  I should have enough for at least two pairs, possibly three, but if not then I shall make some diddy ones for the Wee Man, as he like me has 'unusual feet'.

I shall leave you with a picture of my poor neglected feet and hopefully in a few weeks time they shall be happy dancing feet (OK I know that's pushing it).

I love how this photo looks like something out of a murder mystery.

I'm back, did you miss me?

We'll I've been very busy over the last 6 weeks or so and have done lots and lots of crafting.  I kind of gave up for a while on blogging as I was beginning to feel a little weighed down by it.  I wanted to be living rather than telling others about not having time to live, if that makes any sense.

Anyway, I'm back from outa space.... as the song says and actually it was another bloggers post that brought me here. Sue from Living The Good Life is calling for support in what she is calling UFO July.  The UFO stands for unfinished objects, of which I have plenty.  Take a trip over to her blog and see all the fantastic projects she is planning to finish this July.

I too can never just have one thing on the go at any given time so have decided to join her on this challenge, and now that I have a brand spanking new camera HOORAYYYYYYYYYYYY.

Me playing with my new toy in the MIL's spare 'oom.

I can finally show you some half decent piccies of what I intend to finish during this challenge!  If any one else would like to join her and me head on over to her blog and drop her a message.  Having others around that you can share the fun, frustration, heartache (when the dog pees up your almost finished quilt) and some crafty love is so much better than going it alone.  I shall be off now taking some photos of all the UFO's I have at the moment so I can share them with you.

It's nice to be back.
